You probably know dozens of kids who are at a precarious place in life. Will they make it? Do they have an adult who can help lead them through the tough times ahead? Unfortunately, the answer is to this is often "No!"
Your church or ministry can change this answer for those youth.
You probably know many adults who would be good role models for youth at-risk. These adults may be young and full of energy or older and full of wisdom, but they may have what it takes to be a friend to a vulnerable youth.
The question is, "How do you bring them together?"
You may be the person whom God will use to start a mentoring ministry that will help bring Christians together with at-risk youth. If you feel called to help establish this type of ministry, CAYM can help you through our training, materials and support.
Our publication, First Steps: Starting a Mentoring Ministry can walk you through the process of starting a mentoring ministry in your church. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
